We proudly sponsor Bush Heritage Australia, a national non-profit organisation that protects Australia's unique animals, plants and their habitats.
Bush Heritage Australia captured our hearts and imagination with its bold plan to protect 7 million hectares of Australia by 2025. We wanted to be part of their extraordinary effort to protect the biodiversity of Australian wildlife.
Bush Heritage was established in 1990 when founding patron, Senator Bob Brown, discovered two magnificent forest properties abutting the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area that were being put up for auction. Realising that the old growth trees on these blocks were destined to be woodchipped, Bob used his Goldman Environmental Prize as a deposit to purchase the properties. Today, Bush Heritage is staffed by some of Australia's top ecologists and reserve managers. It manages 31 reserves across the nation and preserves thousands of plant species and about 700 species of birds and animals. Land acquisitions and partnerships are chosen to create permanent wildlife corridors and habitats with potential to adapt to climate change.
At Envirocare Systems, we believe in doing no harm to people or to the environment. We're continually looking for ways to reduce our own impact on the environment and to provide our customers with environmentally-preferable washroom hygiene systems.
Our friends at Bush Heritage Australia go beyond minimising harm to doing positive good. We're proud to donate 1% of our profits to support Bush Heritage's work. It's our way of using our business success to do something extra for the environment.
We encourage you to find out more about this quietly achieving not-for-profit organisation. Bush Heritage's fantastic progress towards its goal is a testament to the power of a good idea to attract good people.
